As Pune continues to grow, so does the challenge of managing its municipal solid waste while ensuring a reliable energy supply. To address these pressing concerns, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is developing a state-of-the-art Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plant in Hadapsar. This initiative aims to revolutionize waste management by converting non-recyclable waste into a valuable energy source, reducing landfill dependency, and contributing to a cleaner environment.

The Hadapsar WtE plant is designed to process hundreds of tons of municipal solid waste daily using advanced incineration technology. By generating electricity from waste, the facility will help bridge the city’s rising energy demand while mitigating environmental hazards caused by unchecked waste accumulation.
